Katherine Miller, original founder and partner at Capella, brings more than 30 years of experience in the IT technology and consulting industry. She spent 10 years at Intel where she was responsible for the Pentium product line for North America. She moved into consulting at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLC as a Managing Director of their Enterprise Portal and Solutions practice. She has deep understanding of globalization, large scale $80 million global application development engagements.
In 1992, Katherine cofounded a residential building company in Northern California where she trained in all aspects of construction and was licensed in the California residential building industry. She had built well over 30 luxury homes with a focus on Contemporary styles and award winning backyard living spaces.
At Capella, Katherine is bringing her West Coast contemporary building style and commitment to sustainable building materials to join the Michael McMinn's construction business in the Southwest. She is responsible for all project design using 3D rendering technology as well as launching Capella’s Augmented Reality product line in affiliation with Microsoft. She designed and wrote the proprietary job bidding software program Capella uses to provide the most accurate and detailed proposals in the business and is developing the AR portal empowering customers to directly link with vendors and artisans virtually during the design phase.
Katherine’s technology background and leadership in next generation building technologies is enabling Capella to be a thought leader in the area of building technology.
Katherine received her Bachelor of Science Computer Science degree from San Jose State University and her Masters in Business Administration from Cornell.
